      After the unexpectedly chilly weather we experienced last weekend, we're delighted to see that this Qingming holiday weekend's forecast is much warmer. What better way to embrace the spring warmth than by exploring some new seasonal food offerings in the capital?

      **Great Leap**

      Not long ago, Great Leap introduced a selection of spring dishes, including Spring Ginger Chicken (RMB 88 for half, RMB 158 for whole), a twist on the classic Chinese recipe served with pickled vegetables and mushrooms. They've also added a variety of vegetarian options like Crispy Mushroom Fries (RMB 38), Fried Cauliflower Wings (RMB 38), and for the health-conscious, a Green House Salad (RMB 32). Additionally, their Lido branch has reintroduced The Green Machine Pizza (RMB 95 for 12", RMB 115 for 16"), loaded with greens and mozzarella cheese.

      **COMMUNE**

      Earlier this year, we noted that COMMUNE launched a spring menu featuring fresh dishes like the COMMUNE Peking Duck Pizza (RMB 119), created in partnership with renowned Peking duck restaurant Dadong, and the Pulled Pork Pizza (RMB 119). They've also introduced two new burgers: a Smoked Brisket Burger (RMB 158) and a Pulled Pork Burger (RMB 88), along with an array of other items. They recently announced additional spring dishes, including Roasted Chicken with Black Rice, Slow-Cooked Beef and Spinach Salad, and Italian Beef Meatballs. More details can be found here.

      **La Copa**

      The Spanish restaurant La Copa has unveiled new specials to welcome spring. Their offerings include a Burrata Salad that combines creamy burrata with fresh fruit and jamón ibérico, a refreshing Tuna Tartar, smoky Grilled Cauliflower, and Grilled Wagyu, featuring M5 Wagyu beef oyster steak topped with parsley sauce.

      **Café Zarah**

      Zarah is embracing the warmer weather with a Spring Brunch this Sunday, April 6. They'll be offering an all-you-can-eat buffet brunch featuring seasonal specials like Fresh Vietnamese Summer Rolls, Rainbow Veggie Tortilla Rolls, and Salmon & Radish Bruschetta with Spring Chives, along with their usual selection of cold cuts, cheeses, freshly baked breads, cakes, and more.

      The Spring Brunch will take place from 10am to 2pm, costing RMB 228 for the buffet, RMB 388 for the buffet plus three hours of free-flow beers, wine, sparkling wine, and specialty cocktails, or RMB 98 for children aged 6-12 (kids under 6 are free).       **Sediment**

      Wine bistro Sediment will host a spring brunch over the holiday weekend from April 4 to 6. Diners can choose a main course from options like Spanish Tortilla with Roasted Pepper and Parmigiano, Mediterranean Style Codfish, and Beef and Onion Stew Pasta. There will also be an appetizer buffet featuring Homemade Focaccia, Cold Cuts, Fried Pizza Buns, and a dessert buffet. The full menu is available below.
