Beijing Starts Trial Heating Period
The Beijing Municipal Administrative Committee announced on November 7 that the city has initiated the trial heating period in anticipation of the official heating period beginning on November 15. During this trial phase, residents are advised to monitor the heating units in their homes and report any leaks or issues to their local heating management offices. Heating personnel are on standby to provide on-site maintenance and emergency repairs if needed. Below are the service hotlines for heating management departments and stations across each district.

Ba River Cruise Project Reaches Final Stage
The Water Bureau of Chaoyang District has recently reported that the Ba River cruise project has entered its final development stage. Once finished, this cruise line will feature boats traveling along a 15km stretch of the Ba River, starting from the Indigo Harbor Dock and extending to the Wenyu River.
Passengers will enjoy picturesque views throughout the year, with a long segment of the river adjacent to a tranquil greenway that includes pleasant walking and cycling paths. Besides sightseeing, the cruise route will offer easy access to various landmarks along the river, such as the 798-751 Arts District and Langyuan Station.

Beijing Unveils First Domestic Diabetes Prescription Medication
At the end of last month, China's first homegrown dual-target anti-diabetic medication received approval, and on November 6, the first prescription was administered at Peking University People’s Hospital.
Mazdutide (玛仕度肽) is an injectable medication reported to require administration only once a week. Its official introduction into clinical use marks a significant advancement in independent Chinese innovation regarding diabetes treatment, offering a safer and more effective option for patients with type 2 diabetes.
Ji Linong, the chief physician at Peking University People's Hospital, states that Mazdutide has demonstrated substantial improvements in blood sugar and lipid levels, as well as assisting with weight loss, regardless of whether type 2 diabetes patients were previously untreated or had received oral medication.
Mazdutide serves dual purposes of lowering blood sugar and aiding in weight reduction, and it is anticipated to provide more fitting local treatment alternatives for diabetes patients in Beijing and across the nation, ultimately enhancing the overall management of clinical diabetes.

Pioneering Developments in China: Jinzhou Parks - Emerging Adventurers

We found ourselves spending a second complete day in Jinzhou more out of necessity than preference. With an extra day before heading back to Dalian, we determined that staying in Jinzhou would be more advantageous than moving to a new city for just one night.
