From an emotional farewell to Migas and an exciting Goan Food Festival to new cocktail introductions and seasonal comfort food, here are some events and specials you should keep an eye on!
**Migas' Chef Miguel x Shunpachi Winter Matsuri at the Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing**
For those who missed the chance to say goodbye to Migas Mercado before its abrupt closure a few weeks ago, there's one last opportunity! This weekend (December 5-6), former Executive Chef Miguel, bartender James, and two resident DJs will be appearing at the Hyatt Regency. Chef Miguel is collaborating with Shunpachi Head Chef David to present an eight-course fusion set menu (RMB 688), available from 6 pm to 9 pm on December 5-6 at Shunpachi.
Additionally, at The Music Bar, former Migas chief bartender James will host a special guest shift both nights, mixing exclusive cocktails inspired by Migas' renowned rooftop terrace. Also making an appearance are two guest DJs who previously played at Migas: DJ Kitchen on Friday and DJ Oshi on Saturday.

**Goan Food Festival at Dastaan**
This weekend (December 5-7), Dastaan is hosting a Goan Food Festival featuring a Buffet Dinner on Friday and Saturday, and a Buffet Lunch on Sunday. They’ll be showcasing the vibrant flavors of Goa through a variety of signature dishes, encompassing seafood, curries, traditional snacks, and more. Some particularly enticing dishes include Kelyachyo Poppers, a Goan spin on jalapeño poppers; Samarein Chi Kodi, a coconut curry with mango and prawns from North Goa; and Goan Chicken Pulao. Dastaan's Goan Buffet Dinner (RMB 178/adult; RMB 78/child aged 5-12) will take place on December 5 and 6 from 6 pm to 10 pm. The Buffet Lunch (RMB 148/adult; RMB 68/child aged 5-12) is set for December 7 from noon to 3 pm. Both buffets include free-flowing beer, white and red wine, whisky, and soft drinks. **Exclusive Beijing Cocktail Menu at Mikkeller Bar**
Danish craft beer venue Mikkeller has unveiled a special cocktail menu exclusive to Beijing. This menu is focused on mixing traditional Danish and Beijing flavors to create unique drinks. Notable selections include Pancake Balls, combining butter-apple brandy with red date and honey apple cider vinegar, spiced with red dates, cinnamon, and cloves. **Texas Barketta Returns to Home Plate**
Home Plate's seasonal favorite, the Texas Barketta, is back! This dish features a whole pork belly marinated for 24 hours, seasoned with Home Plate's signature brisket rub, and stuffed with fennel, cilantro, mustard, garlic, and secret spices. There are three ways to enjoy it on the menu: Texas Barketta (RMB 98), Texas Barketta Burger (RMB 128), or a Texas Barketta Platter (RMB 148), the latter of which includes a complimentary limited-edition scented candle called “Pitmaster's Hearth,” made in collaboration with Tallow Candle Co.
