Beijing's food and beverage scene is buzzing as prominent American chains continue to establish their presence in the city. Popeyes is set to officially open its Wangfujing location this Friday (April 10), while Chili's is preparing to launch its second outlet in Solana next month, much to the excitement of fans of American comfort cuisine.
**Popeyes Grand Opening This Friday**
Popeyes Wangfujing had a soft opening yesterday, giving customers a sneak peek before the official launch. The restaurant will be closed tomorrow for final preparations and will celebrate its grand opening this Friday (April 10) starting at 10 AM. Located in The Malls at Oriental Plaza, this marks Popeyes' first return to Beijing in over two decades. To commemorate the grand opening, Popeyes is offering various exclusive promotions. On April 10, the first person in line will receive a "gold gift" valued at RMB 2,500. The first 100 customers in line will be gifted a free Classic Chicken Sandwich, and one of those in line from positions two to 100 will be randomly awarded another "gold gift" worth RMB 2,500.
From April 10 to 14, customers can take advantage of a 23 percent discount on all menu items. During this period, any purchase will also grant customers five chances at a claw machine and one turn on a gachapon machine, which offers a range of fantastic prizes.
The Wangfujing location appears to be just the beginning of Popeyes' expansion in the capital, with listings on Dianping indicating a possible branch in Zhongguancun and Fanyuanli IDMALL, although these have yet to be confirmed by Popeyes.

**Chili's Solana Branch to Open in Early May**
Chili's has recently revealed its plans to open the Solana branch in early May. This will be their second location in the capital and will feature a two-level layout adorned with Chili's signature Tex-Mex design elements. While an exact opening date has not been announced yet, the restaurant has initiated a promotional campaign to build excitement ahead of the launch.
Until April 20, Chili's is running a check-in campaign. Participants can take a photo or video in front of the Solana store's construction site, share it on Xiaohongshu with the hashtag #ChilisBeijingSolana, and present the post at their Zhongguancun location to claim a FREE Presidente Margarita or Molten Chocolate Lava Cake.
Chili's has promised additional surprises for the grand opening week across both locations and has announced a live traditional Mexican band will perform tableside on opening day at the Solana branch. More updates, including the exact opening date, will be provided soon.
