This weekend is set to be significant for animal enthusiasts in Beijing with three distinct pet-related happenings. Furry Tales will host its first adoption event of the year, INN and ICVS are collaborating for "Love Your Pet Day," and the Beijing Pet Fair makes its return.
Furry Tales Adoption Event
Kicking things off, animal rescue organization Furry Tales is hosting its inaugural Adoption Event of 2026 this Saturday (Mar 21), from noon to 3pm at Plan B. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet charming dogs available for adoption and learn about the procedures for adopting or fostering rescued dogs or cats. Guests can also enjoy Plan B's typical offerings of food and drinks while soaking up the pleasant spring weather on the terrace. Those with their own pets are encouraged to bring them along to the event.
The Furry Tales Adoption Event is set for Saturday, Mar 21, from noon to 3pm, and attendance is free.

INN & ICVS Love Your Pet Day
On Sunday (Mar 22), the International Newcomers Network (INN) and the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) are collaborating to present a free "Love Your Pet Day" event at Maison FL.
This family-friendly afternoon is designed for animal lovers and will feature adoptable dogs and puppies seeking homes, as well as various activities, including games for children, an Adopted Pets Photo Exhibition, and a live pet portrait painting station where artists will create a portrait of your pet on fabric or paper. Attendees can receive professional pet healthcare advice from ICVS veterinarians and browse pet foods and treats on-site.
Additionally, there will be various extras, including raffles with prizes, complimentary drinks and snacks, and goody bags for all visitors, which will include a special scented candle from Tallow Candle Co.
Love Your Pet Day is scheduled for Sunday, Mar 22, from 2pm to 5pm. Entry is free, but participants must RSVP in advance via WeChat by Mar 19. To register, scan the QR code in the poster above.

Beijing Pet Fair 2026
Finally, this weekend marks the return of the Beijing Pet Fair 2026 for its 13th edition at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). While the fair officially begins tomorrow (Mar 19), the days open to the public are from Mar 21-22.
This major pet industry event will feature over 1,500 exhibitors showcasing a range of products, including pet food, healthcare items, smart devices, grooming supplies, and lifestyle goods. Attendees can also look forward to a packed agenda of talks, competitions, product launches, and interactive experiences.
Highlights during the public days will include pet grooming demonstration sessions, expert lectures, a Pet Fashion Week, cat shows, reptile competitions, and themed sections addressing everything from small animals to emerging pet lifestyle trends.
The Pet Fair Beijing 2026 will be accessible to the public on Mar 21 from 9am to 5:30pm and on Mar 22 from 9am to 4pm at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). Standard tickets are priced at RMB 50 and can be acquired by scanning the QR code below. Please note, bringing personal pets to the fair is not permitted.
