      This weekend is particularly significant for animal enthusiasts in Beijing, with three pet-centric events scheduled. Furry Tales will be hosting their initial adoption event of the year, while INN and ICVS are collaborating for "Love Your Pet Day," and the Beijing Pet Fair is making its comeback.

      Furry Tales Adoption Event

      Kicking off the weekend, the animal rescue organization Furry Tales is back with their first Adoption Event of 2026, happening this Saturday (Mar 21) from noon to 3pm at Plan B. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the charming dogs available for adoption and obtain more information about the process of adopting or fostering one of their rescued cats or dogs. Guests can also enjoy Plan B's selection of food and drinks while appreciating the pleasant spring weather on the terrace. Those who already have pets are encouraged to bring them along.

      The Furry Tales Adoption Event will occur at Plan B on Saturday, Mar 21, from noon to 3pm, and entry is free.

      INN & ICVS Love Your Pet Day

      On Sunday (Mar 22), the International Newcomers Network (INN) and the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) will team up to present a complimentary "Love Your Pet Day" event at Maison FL.

      This event aims to provide a fun, family-friendly afternoon for animal lovers, showcasing adoptable dogs and puppies seeking homes, along with various activities such as kids’ games, an Adopted Pets Photo Exhibition, and a live pet portrait painting area where artists can capture your pet on clothing or paper. Participants can also receive professional pet health advice from ICVS veterinarians and browse pet foods and treats available on-site.

      Additionally, there will be plenty of attractions throughout the afternoon, including raffle prizes, free drinks and snacks, and goody bags for all attendees, which will include a special scented candle gift from Tallow Candle Co.

      Beijing Pet Fair 2026

      Finally, this weekend will see the return of the Beijing Pet Fair 2026 for its 13th edition at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). Although the fair officially commences tomorrow (Mar 19), the public days are set for Mar 21-22.

      This expansive pet industry event will host over 1,500 exhibitors displaying a wide range of products, from pet food and healthcare to smart technology, grooming supplies, and lifestyle items. Besides the large exhibition, attendees will have access to an extensive program of talks, competitions, product launches, and interactive experiences.

      Notable activities during public days will include pet grooming demos, expert talks, a Pet Fashion Week, cat shows, reptile competitions, and themed areas encompassing various aspects of small animals and emerging pet lifestyle trends.

      The Beijing Pet Fair 2026 will welcome the public on Mar 21 from 9am to 5:30pm and on Mar 22 from 9am to 4pm at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall).
