Upcoming Openings: Chili's Debuting in Solana, Din Tai Fung is Back & More

      Chili's is preparing to launch a second location in Solana, Din Tai Fung is returning to the city, the new cocktail bar Side By Side is set to open, and more highlights are included in our To Try List for this week.

      Chili's to Launch in Solana and New Juice Series Introduced

      After opening its first Beijing location in Zhongguancun last December, Chili's is now ready to open a second branch in Solana, with an expected launch in May. While details are still limited, they will likely offer their well-known Tex-Mex dishes and drinks.

      In addition to the new branch, Chili's has also revealed a new line of fresh-pressed juices for spring, made from 100% fresh fruit and vegetables, featuring four blends: The Hulk, Sunrise Glow, Vitamin C Rocket, and Berry Bliss (each priced at RMB 38). These juices are currently available at their Zhongguancun location—more information can be found in the poster above.

      Din Tai Fung Returns to Beijing with a New Branch at Kerry Center

      Fans of Din Tai Fung will be delighted to learn of their return to Beijing after closing in 2024! Their new establishment is located in the basement of the Kerry Center and is currently in a soft opening phase, serving lunch and dinner. The menu includes some alterations, but you can still enjoy signature items such as Pork Xiaolongbao (RMB 48 for six), a variety of xiaolongbao, and Pork and Shrimp Shaomai (RMB 60 for six).

      New Cocktail Bar Side By Side Opens in Dongsi

      This Thursday (Mar 12), a new cocktail bar named Side By Side (SBS) is hosting its official opening party. Located in Dongsi, SBS will operate during the night at CENCHI Coffee. A sibling of uh-huh and Tangled, this cocktail bar specializes in creative pairings derived from a single ingredient, offering experimental and classic cocktails.       Q Mex Launches Taco World Series

      Q Mex has introduced a Taco World Series, featuring fusion taco creations inspired by different countries every three to four weeks. The first edition has already been released: Korean Bulgogi Tacos (RMB 58 for two), which include Bulgogi beef, kimchi, spring onions, gochujang-spiced mayo, and sesame seeds.

      They've also provided a preview of upcoming editions, with the next being USA-inspired Smash Burger Tacos, followed by Thai-flavored Red Curry Chicken Tacos.       Great Leap Introduces New Brunch Free Flow Offer

      Great Leap has launched a new free flow deal to complement their weekend brunch menu. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, guests can enjoy three hours of free flow on select beverages for RMB 168. They have also introduced a new brunch item: Beef Shakshuka (RMB 68), a hearty take on the classic North African and Middle Eastern dish featuring poached eggs in a spicy beef tomato sauce. This brunch offer is available at all Great Leap locations except the Doujiao Hutong branch, with details available in the poster below.

      Continental Breakfast Menu Now Available at Panorama

      Panorama is now serving a Continental Breakfast Menu on weekdays from 8.30am to 10am. This menu includes lighter items like Croissants (RMB 15) and more filling choices such as the Brittany Breakfast (RMB 68), featuring sunny-side-up eggs, avocado, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, and mushrooms served with whole wheat bread. They also offer sweet options like the Panorama French Toast (RMB 25), topped with berries, salted caramel sauce, and powdered sugar. More details about the new menu can be found here.
