**New Subway Line’s First Phase Includes Airport Connection**
On June 2, construction commenced on the initial phase of the new R4/Line 20 subway line. This northeastern segment will extend 20.78 kilometers, traveling north to south from Yanjingqiao in Shunyi to the Dongba area in Chaoyang. It will link Shunyi, Tongzhou, and Chaoyang, featuring five stations, two of which will function as transfer points, facilitating connections to Line 3 and the Capital Airport Express.
**Stations on the First Phase of R4 Line:**
- Yanjingqiao 燕京桥站
- Linhe 临河站
- Sino-German Industrial Park 中德产业园站
- Terminal 3 3号航站楼 (transfer to Capital Airport Express Terminals 3)
- Guanzhuangluxikou 管庄路西口站 (transfer to Line 3)
The first phase of the R4 Line is anticipated to open by late 2029.
**Beijing Aims to Enhance Health Services**
The Beijing Municipal Health Commission has unveiled its "Action Plan for a Higher Level of Medical and Health Services in Beijing (2026)” (《北京市更高水平医疗卫生服务行动计划（2026年）》).
The plan includes initiatives to expand the number of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) across the city. By the end of 2023, over 5,000 AEDs were already installed in crucial areas. The addition of 2,500 AEDs in communities around Beijing aims to achieve a target of 50 AEDs per 100,000 residents.
Other goals of the action plan feature establishing 100 first aid training sites, preparing an initial group of 200 first aid instructors, teaching 20,000 individuals CPR and AED operations, and enhancing hospital emergency services for the assessment of stroke patients and the treatment of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions.
