China continues to showcase a wealth of collaborations, with four new ones launching this December. From enchanting lattes to burgers bursting with pineapple, here’s a brief summary of the latest limited-edition partnerships appearing at Starbucks, Burger King, McDonald's, and more.
**Starbucks x Harry Potter**
Today (Dec 9), Starbucks unveiled a Harry Potter collaboration in celebration of the holiday season, featuring three themed beverages: Yule Ball Raspberry Cheese Latte (RMB 41), Hogwarts Great Hall Earl Grey Citrus Latte (RMB 41), and Common Room Caramel Pastry Flavored Latte (RMB 41). The Starbucks cups and sleeves have received a Harry Potter-themed redesign, showcasing a Hogwarts silhouette on the cups and a “scarf” representing one of the four houses on the sleeves.
In addition to the drinks, customers can look forward to unique Harry Potter merchandise each week, including a wand, pin badges, and stickers, available for those who purchase the collaboration drinks. **Burger King x SpongeBob SquarePants**
In anticipation of the Chinese premiere of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants on January 1, 2026, Burger King has launched a limited-edition SpongeBob-themed menu. The menu includes the SpongeBob WHOPPER (RMB 38/large; RMB 28/small), which features a beef patty with a chunky pineapple BBQ sauce. They also offer Mr. Krabs' Qianqian Chicken Nuggets (RMB 15.5), which are batter-coated nuggets with Mississippi barbecue flavor in adorable crab and fish shapes. Lastly, there's Patrick's Star (RMB 16), a sweet red drink combining blueberries, strawberries, beetroot, and ginseng extract.
Additionally, the new menu items include special meal deals accompanied by exclusive SpongeBob merchandise, such as socks featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, or Squidward (selectable at the time of order) and SpongeBob toys. More details about the promotion can be found here.
**McDonald's x The Powerpuff Girls**
Last week, McDonald's introduced a collaboration with The Powerpuff Girls, launching several themed menu items. The lineup includes the McCrispy Star Burger (RMB 13.9), featuring a triple-coated crispy chicken fillet with a creamy black pepper sauce in a soft potato bun, and the Crispy Star Chicken (RMB 9.9), a chicken leg seasoned with salt and pepper and fried to a golden finish.
For dessert, there’s a special treat for each of the Powerpuff Girls: the Crispy Star Butter Pie (RMB 9) for Bubbles, filled with butter and hard candy flavors; a Pistachio “Star” McFlurry for Buttercup; and an Orange and Grapefruit Ice Cream (RMB 5) for Blossom. **Lavazza x Moomin**
Lavazza is currently hosting a Christmas-themed collaboration with Moomin for the festive season, featuring two limited-edition bicerin drinks: the Bicerin Cocoa Lava Cloud Americano (RMB 32) and the Bicerin Rich Cocoa Lava Cloud Americano (RMB 32). For those unfamiliar, bicerin is a traditional hot drink from Turin, Italy, made by layering espresso, ganache, and frothed milk in a glass.
