Another Ball, Festivals, and Additional Events to Mark on Your Calendar

      After sharing information about a few upcoming balls, we now have another event to include, along with some festivals, the Highland Games, and more. So, pull out your calendars and mark these dates for the upcoming events in Beijing!

      **German Ball 2025**

      The 22nd German Ball in Beijing is scheduled for November 15, from 5:45 PM to 2:00 AM at the Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing. This year’s theme is "Splendor of the Tang: A Night of Celebration and Elegance." Attendees can look forward to a cocktail reception, a seated dinner, a dessert buffet, a midnight buffet, and live performances featuring a band and DJ. Ticket sales for tables will begin on September 1, with individual ticket sales starting on October 1. For more information about the German Ball, click here.

      **Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing**

      **River BBQ Fest**

      If you haven't heard, our inaugural River BBQ Fest is set to take place at Langyuan Station from September 19 to 21. The festival will feature a variety of cuisines, including American low-and-slow BBQ, Brazilian churrasco, Chinese chuan'r, Korean BBQ, Turkish barbecue, Japanese izakaya skewers, and much more!       The River BBQ Fest will run from September 19, 4 PM to 9 PM, and from September 20-21, 11 AM to 9 PM.

      **Langyuan Station**

      **Beijing Music Festival**

      The 28th Beijing Music Festival will return from October 10 to 24, featuring the theme “Future Tradition · Moments and New Voices.” This celebration of classical and contemporary music will showcase talents from China, Switzerland, Japan, Russia, Britain, and more. The festival will kick off at the National Centre for the Performing Arts with the China Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by composer Yu Long. In addition to performances, there will also be masterclasses, workshops, and other activities.

      The festival spans from October 10 to 24 at various venues throughout Beijing. Tickets for individual performances are priced between RMB 100-880 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code below. To learn more about the festival, click here.

      **Highland Games 2025**

      After being postponed earlier this year due to severe weather alerts, the Highland Games have been rescheduled. The seventh edition of this vibrant celebration will now occur on Sunday, September 14, from 11 AM to 6 PM at Dulwich College Beijing. The British Chamber of Commerce in China, along with the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International, and the Beijing Scottish Society, is organizing the Games, which celebrate all things Scottish, from bagpipes and whisky to a variety of cuisines and, of course, the competitions themselves.

      The Highland Games 2025 will be held on September 14, from 11 AM to 6 PM at Dulwich College Beijing. Tickets for adults are RMB 150, for children RMB 100; a family ticket for three costs RMB 300 and for four RMB 400. Tickets can be obtained by scanning the QR code in the poster above.       **2025 Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC)**

      The 2025 Beijing CFFC will celebrate its 17th edition on Saturday, November 8. This annual culinary event unites various restaurants in Beijing for a night of dining, raising hundreds of thousands for charity. This year's selected charities are Bethel, From Our Eyes, and the Beijing Qingcaodi Charity Foundation. More information can be found here. The list of participating restaurants for this year's CFFC has not yet been released, but you can follow the official CFFC WeChat (WeChat ID: ChiFanForCharity) to stay updated on all the details.
