To start this series, we will explore a selection of terraces and rooftops around the Sanlitun and Gongti area, so don't forget your sunglasses and get ready to enjoy summer!
**Luxe Lounge**
Situated on the east side of the Third Ring Road, Luxe Lounge recently underwent a total rooftop revamp. It now features an Egyptian theme complete with vibrant tiles, columns, hieroglyphs, and even a sphinx water feature! The rooftop offers a generous space with ample seating where you can admire the stunning views of Beijing's skyline. Their food menu consists of Western fare, ranging from pasta and salads to steak. For drinks, they have a fantastic cocktail selection in addition to wine, beer, and soft drinks.

**Y Spanish Table**
Y Spanish Table, part of the y Family restaurant group, opened in Sanlitun Taikooli earlier this year. It's a rebranding of the former Restaurant y and y NOT, both of which were also in Taikooli. The restaurant features a stylish terrace area partially covered by an awning, perfect for those wanting to avoid direct sunlight while still enjoying outdoor dining. Their menu highlights Spanish cuisine from the Catalan region, prepared by Chef Yao Yang, who has gained experience at culinary schools and restaurants in Barcelona.

**CJ Lounge**
Located on the east side of the Workers' Stadium, this chic rooftop lounge opened two years ago. With sandy-colored walls and tiled floors, CJ Lounge evokes Mediterranean vibes reminiscent of the now-closed Nali Patio. In addition to beautiful decor, patrons are treated to a fantastic view of the refurbished Workers’ Stadium. They offer a variety of snacks like Chicken Wings (RMB 78) and Truffle Cheese Fries (RMB 78), along with larger dishes. Their drink menu includes classic and signature cocktails, as well as mocktails, wine, beer, and other soft beverages.

**BROWNSTONE**
Another great spot for outdoor seating is BROWNSTONE, which opened its first Beijing branch in Sanlitun Taikooli last year. Established in Shanghai in 2010, they specialize in authentic Spanish cuisine and now have multiple locations throughout China. BROWNSTONE features a lovely terrace adorned with colorful tiled tables and bright red chairs, making it an ideal place to enjoy their Red or White Sangrias (RMB 58/glass, RMB 268/pitcher) alongside a selection of delicious Spanish dishes.

**V Park Whisky Cocktail Lounge**
With a large space filled with greenery and exceptional views of Guomao, V Park's rooftop serves as a perfect relaxation spot, especially in the evenings when the skyscrapers are illuminated. The food menu includes Western mains and snacks, such as salads, pizza, tacos, and platters.
