Restaurant Week has returned with its inaugural edition for 2025! For those unfamiliar, Restaurant Week is a biannual event hosted by Dining City, where a multitude of restaurants throughout Beijing and other cities in China present mouthwatering set menus at significantly reduced prices.
Reservations are now open for the Spring 2025 edition, which will take place from tomorrow, March 12, to April 6. We acknowledge that this duration spans nearly a month rather than just a week, but we certainly won’t complain about having more time to take advantage of these great offers!
This year, nearly 200 restaurants and branches are participating, presenting exclusive menus at special fixed prices across four categories to select from:
- Elite: Price set by the restaurants
- Category A: RMB 148 for lunch and RMB 298 for dinner
- Category B: RMB 118 for lunch and RMB 198 for dinner
- Category C: RMB 78 for lunch and RMB 118 for dinner
These promotional prices enable you to dine at some of the city's premier establishments, which can often be quite pricey. Restaurants can be filtered by different categories like “Fine Dining,” “New Joiners,” or “Best Value,” as well as by specific cuisine or price category.
This year's lineup includes 22 restaurants awarded Michelin Stars or Black Pearl accolades, so if you’ve been eyeing one, now’s your chance! There’s also an impressive 45 “New Joiners” participating for the first time. Here are a few of our personal suggestions to consider.
**Le Coq**
Earlier this year, the Le Coq group debuted their first Beijing location, Le Coq Wine & Bistro, in Taikooli. Specializing in French fusion cuisine, they're offering Category B lunch and dinner sharing menus for two.* Both menus comprise a breadbasket, appetizers, two soups, two mains, and dessert, with a side included in the dinner menu. Options feature a range of dishes, including Thai Sour Shrimp Soup, Australian Grain-Fed Sirloin, and Handmade Basque Burnt Cheesecake.

**Charcoal**
Since opening in 2022, Charcoal has impressed us with their inventive concept of “food without borders.” For Restaurant Week, they’ll feature a Category A dinner sharing menu for two.* The menu includes several of their larger dishes, like Basil Fried Rice and Cuttlefish Risotto, alongside many of their signature grilled items such as Grilled Baby Squid and Skirt Steak.

The menu will vary by location, but all include a welcome drink, appetizer, starter, main course, and dessert. Notable dishes include the Purani Delhi Wali Murgh Makhani (Old Delhi-style butter chicken), available at all outlets, and Rabiul’s Signature Chicken Tikka, found in the lunch set at Mumbai Impression and the dinner set at Bollywood Tales.
