      **Strawberry Music Festival 2026**

      Founded in 2009 in Beijing by the music label Modern Sky, the Strawberry Music Festival has become one of the largest festivals in China, now taking place in several cities. The 2026 edition will follow tradition by occurring during the May holiday, from May 2-4, at the Flying Campsite in Beijing Expo Park, located in Yanqing District.

      This year's festival will feature three main stages, with announced acts including Shan Yichun, Mao Buyi, Vinida Weng, Young Captain, Liu Qingyun, Zheng Runze, MERCADER, DOUDOU, and The Landlord's Cat. Two major international artists hinted to perform are the Pixies from Boston and British musician Johnny Marr, but their participation has not yet been officially confirmed by Modern Sky.

      **Tanko Kaishan Festival**

      Taking place this weekend, the Tanko Kaishan Festival (also known as the Tanko Mountain Party) is returning for its fourth edition. The event will be held from March 27 to 29 at Tanko Moofland Park, situated at the base of Tanzhe Temple in Mentougou District. The festival aims to provide an immersive mountain experience that combines music, art, and community.

      The music segment will occur from March 28-29 and will feature three unique stages. The No Stage will focus on experimental performances with audience interaction. The Tang Stage will highlight electronic music, featuring some of Beijing's premier clubs for an outdoor rave amid the mountains. The Kaishan Stage will serve as the main platform, showcasing live acts that cross genres and celebrate cultural connections. The full lineup for both days can be found in the poster below.

      In addition to music, the festival will offer a 72-hour continuous social experience, an art program with workshops and performances, and the Can Bazaar, featuring over 40 vendors throughout the weekend.

      **Soda Music Festival**

      The Soda Music Festival will be held from April 25-26 at Laffitte Castle in Changping District. Presented by Soda Music and Douyin, this two-day event targets a younger audience and promises a dynamic mix of pop, indie, and crossover music in a vibrant atmosphere.

      This year's lineup features both rising and established artists. The first day includes performances from Jiang Dunhao, Wang Yihang, ADD Boy Band, EVE, and Duan Yixuan.       The festival is described as a "youth recharge station," promoting free expression and emotional release, encouraging attendees to shed daily stress and engage fully with music and movement.

      **Bubbling & Boiling Music & Arts Festival: The North of China**

      Further afield from Beijing, the Bubbling & Boiling Music & Arts Festival will take place at Tianjin's Dongjiang Seaside Music Plaza from May 2 to 4. Launched in 2023 by Sparkle Live, this festival has quickly established itself as a key multi-city festival brand, even expanding overseas with a Singapore edition last year.

      Blending music and art, this year’s North China edition will feature a different musical theme each day. Day one will showcase indie and alternative rock, with notable performers such as Omnipotent Youth Society, Miserable Faith, Escape Plan, and international acts like Black Country, New Road, English Teacher, Sea Power, and Motorama.

      Day two will present a lineup driven by youth and genre-blending, including Van Ness Wu, You Zhangjing, and Capper. The festival will conclude on day three
