This trend will continue into Sunday, with a gradual increase in temperatures not starting until Monday. The highs for the initial days of next week are predicted to stabilize at 3°C, although nighttime lows will see a rise. Highs on Thursday and Friday are expected to increase slightly, while lows will dip again.

      Nestlé Initiates Baby Formula Recall

Nestlé has recently begun a voluntary, precautionary recall in Europe of several of its infant formula products, including those marketed under the SMA, Alfamino, and BEBA brands. This action follows the detection of cereulide, a toxin produced by certain bacterial strains that can cause nausea and vomiting when ingested, in an ingredient sourced from one of the company’s suppliers.

At the recommendation of the Food Safety Office of the State Council and the State Administration for Market Regulation, Nestlé has expanded the recall to China. To date, there have been no reports of illnesses linked to the contaminated products, and the company assures that its other products, along with baby formulas with batch codes not included in the recall, are safe.

For further details on the global recall, including information about the batch numbers impacted, consumers can visit Nestlé’s website. They can enter “recall” into the search bar at the top right of the homepage or click the “Ask Nestlé” button in the top horizontal menu, then select “Products and brands” from the vertical list, and finally click the green block labeled “Infant formula product advisory.”

A section of FAQs provides additional information. Scroll down to find a list of countries and markets where a recall has been issued. Under the “Asia, Africa and Oceania region,” you will see link options for China. This will direct you to a page (in Chinese) listing the recalled products and their product numbers. Check the product numbers on any formula products you have against the affected items listed.
