CHEERS Sanyuanqiao and TRIBE both declare their closure.

      The F&B industry in Beijing has received unfortunate news with the recent announcements of three closures. CHEERS will be closing its Sanyuanqiao store, uh-huh Wine Bistro is also set to shut down, and TRIBE Nutrition has ceased operations as of October 11.

      In a message posted to the CHEERS WeChat group, co-owner Claudia Masüger revealed that their Sanyuanqiao store will close by the end of October. This location has been a staple for ten years, hosting many memorable wine buffets and parties. On a positive note, CHEERS is actively seeking new locations and will keep the community informed once they secure a new venue. For updates, you can follow their official WeChat account: CHEERSWines. Of course, all other CHEERS locations remain open, so you can still enjoy their offerings at various other stores.

      Before the Sanyuanqiao closure, there are special promotions available. This Wednesday (October 22) will mark their final Sanyuanqiao Wine Buffet (RMB 159 for free-flow selected wines), and as a farewell gesture, they will offer ten bottles of wine instead of the usual five for guests to enjoy. Additionally, from now until closing, there's a 25 percent discount on all wines when you visit the store.

      In another setback for the wine scene in Beijing, uh-huh announced in a post last week that after just two years, they will be closing within the next 30 days. Owner Sophie noted, “Perhaps my ideal wine bar is just not a good fit for Beijing.” However, she intends to carry forward the uh-huh ethos of “Good Wine, Good Food, Good Vibe” in other ventures. Their sister restaurant, Tangled, which launched earlier this year, remains operational.

      Before shutting down, uh-huh will provide special offers, including 20 percent off all full bottles of wine from their cellar, and champagne by the glass will be available daily until their closure. They also have events scheduled to participate in before they close:

      - Nov 6: 30th Birthday Party for Sophie

      TRIBE Nutrition

      Lastly, TRIBE Nutrition, known for healthy meal plans and dining, has also left the capital after 11 years. They have already halted their delivery services, and their Solana location has closed its doors. In their WeChat closure announcement, they expressed that this decision was difficult and mentioned, “we may see each other again.” Customers with remaining stored value for meal plans can contact their customer service for a refund.
