Busy Holiday 2: Yoga in the Park, Jazz Festival, and More

      It's National Holiday! While many have traveled away from Beijing, there's still a lot happening for those who are in the capital. Today, we’ll highlight some events for tomorrow, October 2.

      **Yoga in the Park at Chaoyang Park**

      If you enjoy outdoor yoga, you’ll be glad to know that Taozi Tree Yoga is hosting daily Yoga in the Park sessions during Golden Week. These sessions will occur at Chaoyang Park in collaboration with Moka Bros, where participants will be led through a 75-minute class by a qualified instructor from Taozi Tree. After class, attendees can also join for a post-yoga brunch at Moka Bros in Solana.

      Yoga in the Park runs every day in Chaoyang Park until October 8 from 10 am to 11:15 am. Classes cost RMB 50 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above. Upon signing up, you will receive the specific location for the class.

      **2025 Jazz Art & Life Fest at Chaoyang Park**

      During Golden Week, WeiboIN has teamed up with DEFACTTO for the Jazz Art & Life Fest. This event is happening at Chaoyang Park until October 8, featuring 35 performances spread across eight hours daily, merging music, art, and lifestyle into a fall-themed experience. It includes popular Beijing jazz acts such as Ember Swift, the Ah-Q Jazz Arkestra, Tone Pop, and others. In addition to the live performances, a creative market with food, crafts, and other items will be available for sale.

      The fest takes place at WeiboIN Plaza inside Chaoyang Park from noon to 10 pm daily until October 8, with tickets priced at RMB 9.9 per day. More information and ticket purchases can be found through this link.

      **Unveiling the Mystery of Chinese White Tea at The Hutong**

      Join The Hutong tomorrow afternoon from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for an interactive workshop centered on Chinese White Tea. Participants will explore the history, culture, and health benefits of this special tea. The event includes a tea tasting, where attendees can sample various classic varieties, discover their unique flavor profiles, and learn proper brewing techniques. Both newcomers and experienced tea enthusiasts are welcome!

      This workshop will occur on October 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at The Hutong. It costs RMB 300 for non-members and RMB 260 for members. Reserve your spot by scanning the QR code in the poster above. More details about the event can be found here.

      **Half Price Shashlik at The Local**

      The Local has recently refreshed their food menu and includes Shashlik, available every Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm at half price with the purchase of any drink. You can choose Steak (RMB 188), Lamb (RMB 188), Chicken (RMB 138), or any two for RMB 188 (prices shown are full; with the offer they will be half price). If you plan to visit The Local at other times during the holiday, there are also half-price specials on burgers on Mondays, burritos on Tuesdays, and wings on Wednesdays. On Fridays, Fish and Chips are only RMB 68, and on Sundays, ordering any steak includes a complimentary side, a glass of house red or white wine, and a small dessert. All deals are available from 3 pm to 9 pm.
