If you enjoy TED Talks, make sure to visit Modernista on Monday, September 15, at 6 PM for a TEDxBeixinqiao Community Event. This occasion marks the beginning of the TEDxBeixinqiao 2025 program and is a precursor to the main TEDxBeixinqiao event scheduled for December 6.
This community gathering is perfect for anyone who has aspired to deliver their own TED Talk or simply appreciates hearing inspiring stories and exploring new ideas. The evening will be divided into three segments, starting with highlights from previous TEDxBeixinqiao talks and followed by live coaching from speaker experts who will offer valuable advice on public speaking and structuring a TED-style presentation.
In the final segment, audience members will be invited to take the stage for a two-minute talk, receiving immediate feedback and encouragement from the coaches. This format combines open mic with a TED Talk, aiming, as they put it, “to help cultivate future TED speakers from the local community – fostering new voices, bold ideas, and the confidence to inspire others on stage.”
Three seasoned coaches will lead the event:
- Wantine: TEDx coach & administrator, experienced TEDx speaker, and public speaking trainer
- Jialan 俞佳兰: Founder and CEO of Upsnail Public Speaking Academy, international event speaker
- Zahra Mirsadeghi: A 20-year-old Iranian polyglot who speaks eight languages, TEDx coach, and Tsinghua University student

The TEDxBeixinqiao Community Event is scheduled at Modernista on Monday, September 15, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM. Early bird tickets are priced at RMB 100, standard tickets at RMB 120, and tickets at the door for RMB 150. Tickets can be obtained by scanning the QR code on the poster above. All tickets come with a complimentary welcome drink (choices include mulled wine, sangria, beer, tea, or soft drink).
