Get ready to enjoy some drinks in the upcoming weeks with the return of Slowboat's IPA Week and Jing-A's 8x8 Brewing Project.
**Slowboat's 11th Annual IPA Week**
From September 5 to 14, the capital will celebrate the 11th edition of Slowboat's Annual IPA Week, and this year promises to be larger and even more exciting! A remarkable total of 30 different IPAs will be available on tap across all five of Slowboat's locations. This year features ten Slowboat IPAs, ten IPAs from various Chinese breweries, and, for the first time, ten IPAs from international breweries.
Every day, three beers will be available at special prices: Slowboat IPAs will be priced at RMB 35, Chinese guest IPAs at RMB 40, and international IPAs at RMB 50. However, act quickly, as each location will have only two kegs of the Chinese guest beers and one keg of each international guest beer.
In addition to the guest IPAs and special pricing during IPA Week, Slowboat will host guided IPA tastings and brewery tours at their Maizidian location. There will be three sessions: Sunday, September 7, at 3 PM; Monday, September 8, at 6:30 PM; and Wednesday, September 10, at 6:30 PM. The tasting and tour costs RMB 188 per person, and you can secure your spot by scanning the QR code on the promotional poster.

**Jing-A's 9th Annual 8x8 Brewing Project**
Jing-A's 8x8 Brewing Project is set to occur on October 24 and 25 at the C7 Light Theatre, located just north of the 798 Art District. Now in its ninth year, the 8x8 Festival gives Chinese breweries the chance to collaborate with breweries from various countries to create eight new exciting beers.
This year, eight Chinese breweries will team up with eight Scandinavian breweries, each collaboration producing a different beer, resulting in eight brand-new brews and a total of 136 different beers to sample at the event!
You can find the 16 breweries and their partnerships on the poster below. There will be four tasting sessions from Friday evening through Saturday, with ticket options and pricing available in the graphic below.
