This week's To Try List includes handmade pasta at Beixinqiao, the opening of Q MEX in Haidian, a tap takeover at Beersmith, and the relocation of Triple B 3B to MIX Island.
**Q MEX Launches New Location in Wukesong with Updated Menu**
Q MEX has debuted a new branch in the Wukesong complex, marking its fifth location in Beijing and the first in Haidian. Located opposite IKEA, this new venue features a spacious terrace with a pool table and an interior adorned with a vibrant mural by Spanish artist Miguel Ángel Emérico. A private room is also available, accommodating 10-12 guests.
In addition to the Wukesong opening, Q MEX is reintroducing its entire menu across all locations with new dishes and a fresh design. New highlights include Carnitas Tacos (RMB 78), Chicharron Burrito (RMB 27-85), and Creamy Chipotle Chicken Pasta (RMB 78). Additionally, some previous limited-time specials have been added permanently, like Birria Tacos (RMB 88) and Cheese Fondue Burger (RMB 95).
Exclusive to the Wukesong location are two dishes: Charcoal-Grilled Chicken and Beef Ribs, which are available only on weekends and require prior ordering.

**Tangled Introduces Handmade Pasta to Beixinqiao**
Tangled, an offshoot of the Dongsi wine bar uh-huh, recently opened near Beixinqiao, focusing on handmade pasta and aiming to deliver “good carbs, good drinks, and good vibes.” The decor features wooden furniture with a red color palette, creating a warm atmosphere, complemented by a tiled floor reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Quirky touches like wine bottle lights and a "disco cube" add an artistic flair.
The menu includes a variety of snacks, appetizers, pasta options, and other main courses. Notable dishes are the Wagyu Bolognese (RMB 68), available in both traditional and Yunnan styles, and the lavish Prawn & Sea Urchin Pasta (RMB 118), crowned with prawn caviar. While pasta is their main focus, the Oxtail Pie (RMB 108) is an impressive non-pasta option. To complement the food, they offer a selection of wines, beers, and curated cocktails, including the Nori (RMB 98), with gin, sesame, and nori, and the Herbalist (RMB 78), mixing gin, dill, and green capsicum.

**Beersmith Collaborates with DaoBrew for Special Tap Takeover**
Beersmith has partnered with Chengdu’s DaoBrew for a special tap takeover starting today (June 25) at 8 pm. The collaboration has resulted in the Kuan Zhai Hutong DDH IPA, available at Beersmith for one month. Attendees can also enjoy three DaoBrew beers: Fumo IPA, The Reverie Raspberry Sour, and Go With The Flow, available as a tasting paddle set for RMB 128 (150ml each).
Additionally, a selection of Sichuan-inspired bar snacks will be offered tonight only, including Mapo Nachos (RMB 58), Holy Heat Wings (RMB 58), and the Sichuan Blaze Burger (RMB 58). The event will feature live DJ sets by DaoBrew's founder and head brewer Wang (DJ Geezer) as well as performances from Beersmith's house band, Soul Shake.
