After two rounds of public voting, the second round of the 2025 Juicy Burger Cup has concluded, narrowing down the competition to the Sweet 16 – the final phase. From this point forward, the outcome of the 2025 Juicy Burger Cup will be determined by a panel of expert burger judges.
These specially selected judges will have 48 hours to carefully rank the remaining 16 burger establishments from #1 to #16. Their individual rankings will be combined to identify the ultimate champion of the 2025 Juicy Burger Cup. Judges who are unfamiliar with certain participants may choose to leave them unranked.
So, who makes up this panel? Chosen from a wide-ranging group of burger enthusiasts in Beijing, each judge was screened for their extensive knowledge of the local burger scene via a specially designed burger expert survey. We then curated a diverse and representative panel that encapsulates the full spectrum of our Beijing readership, including both locals and internationals.
To ensure the judging process is impartial and free from bias, we implemented several safeguards. Panelists were not officially informed of their selection until the very last moment, preventing any opportunity for lobbying or influence from burger creators.
In the interest of fairness and surprise, the identities of our judges and the Sweet 16 rankings will remain confidential until we officially announce the 2025 Juicy Burger Cup Champion this Friday (Jun 6).
