May 3 marks the start of our annual Taco Fest, and in celebration of this fantastic event, we have planned several activities to enjoy afterwards. You can delve into pre-Beijing history and explore the hutongs, which offer a unique blend of the ancient and the modern, possibly with additional tacos as well.

      The Beijinger 2025 Taco Fest

Calling all taco enthusiasts in Beijing! The Beijinger's annual Taco Fest is back for just two days, starting today at the National Tennis Center near Olympic Forest Park. This year features over 25 vendors, including the special guest from Shanghai, La Coyota, along with excellent entertainment, market stalls, and much more.

The Beijinger’s 2025 Taco Fest runs from Saturday, May 3, to Sunday, May 4, from 11am to 8pm each day at the National Tennis Center West Square. Tickets at the entrance are RMB 30. Click here for more details.

      Yuan Dadu Ruins Park

To work off those tacos, why not take a stroll through a particularly extensive park? The Yuan Dadu Ruins Park traces part of the old Khanbaliq city wall, which dates back to the Yuan dynasty before Beijing was even conceived. While the original wall has mostly disappeared, save for some mounds, there are reconstructions and statues that pay tribute to this long-lost predecessor of modern Beijing.

Alternatively, Beiluoguxiang, the somewhat quieter sibling of Nanluoguxiang, also offers some pleasant drinking and dining options.
